Ingredients

For the Crust

  • 1¼ cups Flour
  • 1 Pinch of Salt
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • ½ cup Butter cold & diced
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar

For the Chocolate Filling

  • 1 oz Grated Chocolate
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 4 oz Semisweet Chocolate Chips melted
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • 4 ml Simply Add CBD™ Baking Oil ≈ 12.5 mg CBD per Slice of Pie

Instructions

The Crust

  • In a large bowl add the flour, salt, egg yolk, butter, & sugar. Mix until it appears sandy.
  • Add the water and mix until it forms a dough.
  • Place the dough on parchment paper and place it in the fridge to chill for 20 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough and place the pie crust into your pie pan.
  • Poke the dough with a fork so the dough does not rise while it's baking.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 350° F for 20 minutes or until golden brown in color. Let it cool completely.

The Filling

  • In a bowl, add butter, powdered sugar, and Simply Add CBD™ Baking Oil and mix together with your hand mixer.
    Important: Mix thoroughly at this step for a few extra minutes to ensure the Simply Add CBD™ Baking Oil is dispersed throughout the mixture. This will ensure each slice of CBD french silk pie has a more even dosage of CBD.
  • Add in vanilla extract, melted chocolate, cocoa powder, and one egg. Mix with your hand mixer. Add another egg and mix again. Keep adding one egg at a time and mixing until all 4 are used up.

Build the Pie

  • Once the pie crust has been completely cooled, spoon in the chocolate filling.
  • Let it set in the fridge for 2 - 3 hours.
  • Add whipped cream on top of the pie and some shaved chocolate.

Notes

For smooth and clean cuts, cool the pie completely overnight in the fridge.
