Simple CBD Eggnog Cream Pie Recipe

This CBD eggnog cream pie recipe makes 8 servings of pie infused with CBD containing about 12.5 mg of CBD per serving using Simply Add CBD™ Baking Oil.

For the Crust

  • cups Flour
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ cup Butter diced
  • 2 tbsp Cold Water
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

For the Pie Filling

  • 1 pack Vanilla Pudding
  • 2 cups Eggnog
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Butter diced
  • 1 tsp Rum Black or White
  • ½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 4 ml Simply Add CBD™ Baking Oil ≈ 12.5 mg CBD per Slice of Pie

For the Topping Decoration

  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 tbsp Eggnog
  • 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract


The Crust

  • In a large bowl, add the flour, salt, sugar, vanilla extract, egg yolk and diced butter.
  • Beat the cold butter into the flour mixture using a hand mixer, until sandy consistency forms.
  • Add the cold water into the mixture and mix to start forming the dough.
  • Let the dough chill in your fridge for about 20 minutes.
  • Let the dough chill while you make the filling.
  • Begin preheating your oven to 400° F or 190° C.
  • On a flour dusted working surface, roll out the dough into ½ inch thickness. Then place it in a pie pan, forming it to the pan. Poke the pie shell in various places using a fork and place it in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  • Bake the pie in the pre-heated oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown, then set it aside to let it cool completely. Reduce the oven heat to 300° F / 150° C.

CBD Eggnog Cream Pie Filling

  • In a sauce pan with the stove set on medium heat, add the sugar, vanilla pudding mix and eggnog. Stir until creamy, bubbly and thickened.
  • Remove from heat and add the butter, nutmeg and rum in the sauce pan. Stir until all the butter is melted and eggnog rum pudding pie filling is formed.
  • Add the Simply Add CBD™ Baking Oil. Stir until combined and fully incorporated.
    Important: Mix thoroughly at this step for a few extra minutes to ensure the Simply Add CBD™ Baking Oil is dispersed throughout the mixture. This will ensure each slice of CBD eggnog cream pie has an even dosage of CBD.
  • Transfer the filling into the chilled pie crust.
  • Bake the whole pie again in heated oven at 300° F / 150° C for about 20 minutes.
  • Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely.

For the Topping Decoration

  • Whip the heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar, eggnog, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks forms.
  • Pipe out a dollop of eggnog whipped cream on each slice, or around the rim of the pie at the pie crust.
  • Top it off with sprinkling some ground cinnamon or nutmeg on top of the pie.

To make non alcoholic version, use just a regular vanilla pudding prepared with milk and you can leave the rum out of this recipe.
